Bridge at Risbygate

Bridge in some form or other has been played at Risbygate since the club moved to the present site in 1930. An organised Bridge section was certainly in being in 1945 and it would therefore appear to be the earliest organised Bridge played in Bury St Edmunds.

The Bridge section has a membership of over 190 people and is a member of the English Bridge Union. It is also affiliated to the Suffolk Contract Bridge Association. Meetings are held as follows:

    Mondays - 19:15hrs

    Duplicate Bridge to EBU rules

    Tuesdays - 19:00hrs

Bridge the Gap - Duplicate Bridge for advanced improvers

    Wednesday - 19:00hrs

Learn and Play Club for improvers
